Terms & Conditions
Your booking
By completing your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Your contract is with Audley End Miniature Railway Ltd, trading as Audley End Enchanted Railway (“we”, “us” or “our”).
Please check your booking carefully before completing your purchase, including the event, date, time, number and type of tickets selected.
Tickets & prices
All prices shown include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. Prices may change at any time, but the price of tickets already purchased will not change. If you choose to transfer your booking to a different date or time slot, you will be charged or refunded any difference in ticket price.
Tickets, discounts and promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or changed at any time. Unless specifically stated, offers cannot be used in conjunction with one another or applied retrospectively to an existing booking.
Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain.
Cancellations, refunds & transfers
If you are unable to attend your booked visit, you must contact us at least 48 hours before your visit to receive a full refund.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before your visit, we cannot offer a refund. However, subject to availability, we can either transfer your tickets to another available date within the same event or issue a return credit voucher for you to use within the following 12 months. Please note that if you choose to transfer your booking to a different date or time slot, you will be charged or refunded any difference in ticket price.
If we need to close the attraction or cancel your event due to extreme weather, unforeseen circumstances or any other reason, we will offer you a full refund or, where available, the option to transfer your booking to another date.
If the attraction remains open and your event is running, we cannot offer a refund if you choose not to attend due to the weather.
Arrival & timed bookings
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your booked train departure to allow sufficient time to park, walk from the car park and check in.
If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to join your booked train. Where possible, we will try to accommodate you on a later available departure, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Weather & our outdoor setting
Audley End Enchanted Railway is a completely outdoor woodland attraction and we operate in most weather conditions. Please check the weather forecast before your visit and come prepared for changing conditions, with suitable clothing and footwear.
During particularly hot or sunny weather, we may occasionally need to close certain areas of our play facilities where we consider this necessary for the safety and comfort of our visitors.
As a natural woodland attraction, our site contains natural features and hazards which may include tree roots, animal holes, uneven ground and other natural trip hazards. Please take appropriate care while moving around the site and supervise children at all times.
Changes to your visit
From time to time, we may need to alter advertised activities, entertainment, characters, performers, routes, train times or other elements of an event due to weather, operational requirements, safety considerations or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
For operational or safety reasons, we may occasionally need to substitute a locomotive or alter the advertised train experience.
Where the attraction and event remain open, changes to individual activities, entertainment, performers or other elements of your visit will not normally entitle you to a refund.
Children & supervision
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while visiting Audley End Enchanted Railway.
Some activities may have specific age, height, capacity or safety restrictions. These will be communicated where applicable and must be followed for the safety of all guests.
Add-ons & additional activities
Certain activities, experiences or products may carry an additional charge and may need to be booked separately. Availability cannot be guaranteed unless the activity has been included in your confirmed booking.
Payments
Audley End Enchanted Railway is a cashless attraction. We accept card payments only for purchases made on site.
Safety, personal responsibility & liability
Visitors should take reasonable care while on site and follow all safety notices and reasonable instructions given by our team.
Visitors are responsible for their own personal belongings. We cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property except where this results from our negligence or where liability cannot otherwise be excluded by law.
Parents, guardians and accompanying adults are responsible for the supervision and safety of any visitors under the age of 18 in their care at all times while on site.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Behaviour
We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask a guest to leave where their behaviour is unsafe, abusive or disruptive, where they fail to follow reasonable safety instructions, or where their behaviour may negatively affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors.
No refund will normally be provided in these circumstances.
Photography & filming
Photography and videography may take place during your visit for promotional and marketing purposes.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform our Admissions team when checking in.
Accessibility & individual requirements
We want as many guests as possible to enjoy their visit. If you have accessibility requirements or require additional assistance, please review the accessibility information on our website or contact us before your visit so that we can advise you appropriately.
